Empowering women to drive a sustainable energy future

The energy sector is undergoing a critical transformation towards cleaner, more sustainable solutions. This transition demands innovation, diversity, and a fresh perspective - qualities that women bring in abundance. Empowering the next generation of women in this traditionally male-dominated field is crucial for fostering inclusivity, equity, and ultimately, a brighter energy future.

To address this need, the Sunday Times, in partnership with the Central Energy Fund (CEF) Group, is hosting a Women on the Move Dialogue, focusing on the crucial role of women in shaping the energy landscape. This hybrid event will bring together industry leaders and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities for women in the energy sector.

Moderated by Nozipho Tshabalala, the dialogue will feature a distinguished panel:

* Ayanda Noah, founder and MD of AN Duke Solutions
* Nompumelelo Siswana, founder and MD at Naba Consulting
* Unati Figlan, Hlonela Engineering Solutions founder and MD
* Makgola Makololo, MD and sales executive of Alstom Rolling Stock SA
* Dudu Hlatshwayo, founder and CEO at Change EQ

The event will explore key themes including education, mentorship, policy support, and innovation - crucial components in creating an environment where women can thrive and lead in the energy sector.

Join us on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, for this insightful discussion. Participate in-person in Johannesburg from 8:30 am to 11 am or online from 9:30 am to 11 am.

This event promises to be a catalyst for change, fostering collaboration and action to empower women and build a more sustainable and equitable energy future.
